A fundraising slice of history – and cake!
Families from across Wolverhampton are being encouraged to support a Mayoral event which will benefit the charity that supports patients across New Cross, West Park and Cannock Hospitals as well as its community healthcare services.

Your RWTC, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s charity, is looking forward to “A Slice of Wolverhampton – Coffee, Cake & Community for Charity” on Wednesday 30 July 2025.
Hosted by the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Craig Collingswood, visitors can visit the historic Mayor’s Parlour which houses the civic regalia and see its stunning balcony views looking out over Molineux Stadium and beyond.
They can enjoy a warm welcome, a slice of cake and a glass of fizz and will be able to meet the Mayor and have a photograph taken.
Proceeds will support the four charities the Mayor is supporting this year which are Your RWTC, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Compton Care and SSAFA.
Amanda Winwood, Charity Development Manager for RWTC, said: “What a lovely event this promises to be and, as one of the Mayor’s chosen charities, we’re thrilled to be part of it.
“The Mayor has spent time with the Fundraising Team at New Cross and we’ll be working hard to promote and support his fundraising for Your RWTC and the other charities throughout his year.”
The Mayor said:
“This event is about bringing people together over something simple and joyful — coffee and cake — while making a real difference to the lives of those in our community.
“Not many people get to come and see the parlour, so we wanted to open it up and give everyone a chance to see the civic regalia and fantastic views from our balcony.
“Each of the charities I’m supporting does incredible work, and I’m proud to help shine a light on their efforts.”
Tickets are priced at £10, with all profits going directly to the chosen charities.
“I hope people from across Wolverhampton will join us,” added the Mayor. “It’s a chance to relax, connect, and contribute to causes that matter.”
Tickets are available now via Eventbrite. Contact the Mayor’s Office for more information via mayoral@wolverhampton.gov.uk.
