Football meets fundraising with Your RWTC FC
A new football team has been launched, bringing together well-known names and community spirit with a goal to raise vital funds for an NHS Trust charity.

Your RWTC FC is the dedicated football team for Your RWTC, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’s charity, and is available to play in charity fixtures.
Once a venue and date have been confirmed, a squad will be assembled from a pool of willing players, allowing for flexibility, regular activity and maximum fundraising.
Robbie Meakin, the Founder and Chair of Your RWTC FC, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last April and is having treatment at New Cross Hospital. He has already held a host of fundraisers to support Your RWTC.
He said: “I’m incredibly proud to launch Your RWTC FC. I’ve been working hard to get things off the ground, and everything is coming together nicely. I can’t wait to start raising more money and awareness through football for this amazing charity on a more regular basis.”
The initiative will enable more charity football matches to take place throughout the year, expanding beyond Robbie’s own annual fundraising events.
Sponsorship opportunities will also be available, with kit costs expected to be covered through the support of businesses.
Amanda Winwood, Charity Development Manager for Your RWTC, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to see the launch of Your RWTC FC. This initiative is a brilliant example of how community spirit and a shared love of football can come together to make a real difference. By taking charity matches out into the community, we’ll be able to raise even more vital funds and awareness. We can’t wait to see the impact it will have.”
