Inco Contracts’ huge support for hospital garden makeover
A 65-inch cinema screen and projector will bring the magic of the movies to young hospital patients thanks to the generous support of a Cannock company. Inco Contracts, which has chosen Your RWTC, the registered charity of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, as its fundraising cause for the year, has helped with the transformation of a tired garden area outside the Children’s Ward at New Cross Hospital.

The firm has donated materials and considerable hours to the project, including redecoration of the entire outdoor space, which now has colourful external walls, new windows, and a special pagoda to provide a sheltered place to relax and recover.
The contractor also galvanised its supply chain to take part, with kind-hearted DMW and UK Electrical adding their expertise to the mix with full decorative services and new festoon lights installed free of charge.
“Your RWTC has been our chosen charity for the last 12 months and we wanted to do as much as possible to help improve the lives of the people the hospital serves,” explained Tim Lewis, Associate Director at Inco Contracts.
The company has already supported Your RWTC with 1100 ‘chemo comfort bags’ and 1000 radiotherapy water bottles.
“Our chemo comfort bags and radiation bottles were supposed to be the main focus, as we all know people who have come through their own cancer battles and appreciate how important these simple items can be. However, when we heard about the children’s garden makeover that Jason Guy is leading the fundraising on, we knew we had to get involved.
“A total of £37,000 has been raised to date, which is a fantastic amount. Rather than some of that going towards repairs, we wanted to use our own skills and those of our supply chain to get the space into a good standard. This means all the money can be used on new equipment and seating to really create something special.”
Amanda Winwood, Charity Development Manager at Your RWTC, said:
“Inco Contracts has been a wonderful supporter this year, not only supplying us with vital equipment free of charge, but also helping to raise the profile of some of the amazing work we do here.
“The garden makeover is just the icing on the cake, and I can’t thank the firm and its amazing staff enough. It has brought a drab and uninspiring space back to life and now we can really get down to building something that will stimulate, inspire, and hopefully help children recover.
“The outdoor cinema is just fantastic and our children and young people will love it!”
