Teeing off for a good cause
A grateful son has raised more than £1,000 for charity by taking part in a golf challenge.

Matthew Greenaway took on the Macmillan Golf Challenge, playing an astonishing 100 holes of golf in one day at Oxley Park Golf Club, the equivalent of more than five full rounds plus ten extra holes.
By doing so he raised £1,200 for the Living with and Beyond Cancer team based at the Macmillan Hub at Wolverhampton’s New Cross Hospital.
Matthew was inspired to take part after his mum Jane was diagnosed with breast cancer and began treatment at the hospital.
Matthew said: “It’s been a challenging time for our family, and I wanted to do something positive to show my support, not just for mum, but for everyone going through cancer.
“The Macmillan team have been amazing, and this was my way of giving something back. It was really important for me to raise money for the service that cared for my mum.
“A huge thank you to Ryan Harding, Ryan Davies and Jay Millward who joined me on this challenge.”
Jo O’Sullivan, Living With and Beyond Cancer Support Manager, congratulated Matthew following the completion of his challenge.
She said: “As a service, we want to say a massive thank you to Matthew. The challenge he took on is not easy at all, and the funds he raised are going to help our service to continue to support our patients.”
Amie Rogers, Fundraising & Lead Engagement Officer, said: “Completing 100 holes of golf in one day is an extraordinary challenge, and we’re in awe of Matthew and his friends for going above and beyond to support our Living with and Beyond Cancer team.
“A huge thank you to everyone involved to help make such a difference for patients.”
